KFC Origins
The founder of KFC is Harland Saunders. He was born in Henryville, Indiana, in the year 1890. He began selling fried chicken from the roadside of his house in 1930. This extended to serving the fried chicken to the restaurant at a gas station in Corbin, Kentucky. This recipe was being sold by over 600 restaurants by 1963. Then, in 1967, Kentucky Fried Chicken became the largest restaurant chain in the U.S. by sales volume.
