How to Change Your Microsoft Teams Name
You must give a Microsoft Teams team a name when creating it. The name does not need to match the domain where the team is registered, nor is it have to be the same. It's advisable to give the domain a more generic name if you want to host numerous teams on it.
A name must be used when adding team members to a team, otherwise, the name will be taken automatically from the email address or user account that was used to join the member. Names are not permanent, whether they belong to a user or a team. You have the option to update them anytime you wish.
Rename your Microsoft Teams account
You need admin access in order to update a Microsoft Teams team's name. All you need is your account password to alter your user name, which is the name that shows in Microsoft Teams under your own name.

Change your user name on Microsoft Teams
To change your name, you must go to your account's settings on your browser, as opposed to updating your photo in Microsoft Teams. The Microsoft Teams app cannot be used to make this adjustment.
- Go to the Microsoft Account page by using your browser.
- Use the Microsoft Teams account you use to log in.
- At the top, click Your Info.
- Simply choose Edit name on the account page.
- Click Save after adding a new name.
- Sign in and then sign out of Microsoft Teams.

The name you choose for your Microsoft Account syncs with every program you use with your account, so keep that in mind. Not just Microsoft Teams, however. If you log in to Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 with the same account, the update will also be made to Windows 10.
Conclusion
Any element of a Microsoft Teams team is not defined by the team name; for example, the team's channels, email addresses for channels, invitation links, and invite codes are all established independently of the team name. You may edit it anytime you need to.
