Yes, you have secured your iOS device with a passcode and with all the Touch ID and Face ID, but that concern still remains. What if the wrong people get access to your pictures, files, videos, and other personal data. You just cannot be sure. Well, we have got a little something for you.
The host of the app store apps can lock access to some private data inside a virtual vault - your photos, videos, and other data can be stored with a password, PIN, or other security measures.
First, you have to make sure that your phone is locked with a passcode. Then enable the Touch ID or Face ID on the device. These are the first things you need to keep in mind. But after all of this, you can check out the following apps which can further guard your personal data.
1. Photo Vault
This is a vault designed so that your photos and videos are protected. First, you create a numeric master password, so that your content is protected before creating more albums to secure the selected photos and videos.
Also, you can delete, move and copy the photos and videos in your secure vault and get access to them from your PC through a Wifi or USB connection. You can also back up your secure data to iCloud. And you can secure your data even further by choosing a password for the folder.
This app is free but to get an ad-free version with unlimited storage will cost you $2.99.
2. Locker
As the name suggests, it acts like a safe locker where you can secure your data. First, you have to create a PIN to secure your storage and then you can add the data. Some devices might even allow you to choose certain apps to hide so that no one else can see them on the Home Screen.
On the non-premium version, you can hide or secure just three apps, three photos, and three videos. You cannot store notes and files or any cloud storage. Paying $1.99 every month you can enjoy unlimited facilities. If you pay $9.99 at a time, then you will get the facilities for a lifetime.
3. Secret Photos KYMS
Secret Photos KYMS hides and encrypts various data, including photos, videos, documents tasks, and passwords. Here you have to first create a PIN and then you are prompted to choose an alphanumeric password for more safety.
If you are in the app, you can now choose the type of contact you would want to protect. Photos and videos can be added from your library, camera and iTunes.
On the free version, you can store photos, videos, and passwords. For the premium version, you need to pay $1.99 for which you get the added facilities where you can store contacts, credit cards, and other cards, record and encrypt audio recordings, and a lot more.
4. Private Photo Vault
It is another app where you can store your data and keep it secured. Here your first task is to create a passcode so that your content is protected. Then you are presented with a mail album which you can select to start importing your photos from your library or the camera
Even additional albums can be created for more photos and videos. On the settings screen, you can change your passcode and use Face ID or Touch ID.
The basic version of the app is free but for $4.99 you get the premium version where you get unlimited photo albums, all the advertisements are removed, and many more features.
5. Secret Calculator
It is a paid app that comes for $1.99 which appears like a working calculator. Behind the facade of the calculator are hidden your albums and files. First, you need to create a passcode and then enter it following with the percentage symbol every time you want the app to be unlocked. You can also use the touch id for signing in.
There are predefined photo albums on the app, but you can also create your own albums and sort all the photos by date. You can just select an album and then add the photos you would want to protect. Then import the photos from your library, camera, clipboard, iTunes, and another device using the Wifi.
6. Best Secret Folder
It has a few turns and twists which separates it from the traditional vault. At least if you are opting for the paid version. Like all the rest, you have to start off by creating the passcode then you are taken to an image of a vault where now you can create albums and store all your data. You can either snap the photos and videos or add them from your gallery. You can also copy, share, rename and do loads of other stuff with your data.
On the free version, you get a maximum of 25 photos and 11 videos and it also excludes some of the cooler features of the app. But for $14.99 per year, you can get the premium edition where you will get unlimited storage, no ads, Face ID and so many more cool features.
